Description wedding venue
Since January 2023, we, Isabell & Sven Nöthel, have been running “Freya by Nöthel” with all our heart and great commitment as a family business on the beautiful Lower Rhine.
Our farmstead from 1892 is unique and a successful mix of a historic main building and barn wing with a beautiful restaurant area, three modern event locations and beautiful indoor and outdoor wedding locations. From the more intimate club room for smaller groups of people to the industrial loft-style studio to the romantic Linden Hall with its six-meter-high open roof truss, Freya by Nöthel has a lot to offer bridal couples.
All event locations are different and lovingly designed and have their own outdoor area, their own entrance and their own sanitary facilities.
Our farm with almost 23,000 square meters of land is idyllically located in the middle of the landscape conservation area, but still centrally located in Duisburg Baerl, directly on the border with Moers.
It also has an old barn that is used as an indoor wedding location. The beautifully landscaped beach area and the adjacent fields are also perfect for outdoor weddings.
Our Freya Honeymoon Suite completes the offer for our bridal couples.
The entire team works around the clock to ensure that every event is perfect down to the smallest detail. Event managers are available to provide our bridal couples with advice and support right up until the big day - at no extra charge.
Our in-house event design department provides the appropriate stationery and also has its own decoration and sign rental service. If desired, bridal couples receive "EVERYTHING FROM ONE SOURCE" at Freya - completely personal and individual.
Because: warmth and perfection are our top priority - and our wonderful team gives its best every day.
Since 2023, the "Freya" with its modern country house cuisine has officially been one of the best restaurants for every day in Germany according to the gourmet magazine "Feinschmecker". Quality and regionality are very important to us! Of course, this also applies to the different BBQ and buffet variations that we offer for events.
Our second restaurant "Mod by Sven Nöthel" is also located on the farm and was awarded a Michelin star in 2021. The Mod is also available to bridal couples as a location. A food upgrade to “star level” is also possible at Freya at any time.
