Banquet hall
The largest room in the castle, with its imposing, early Baroque ceiling fresco from the 17th century, of inestimable value, is the central highlight of every wedding party. (Details of the ceiling fresco: It shows figurative representations, probably from Greek mythology, which are framed by architectural elements such as railings with decorations. According to a report by the qualified restorer Thomas Lehmkuhl, around 41 percent of the original 300-year-old painting has been preserved. 59 percent were added during the restoration work from 1977 to 1979.) With banquet seating, there is room for parties of up to 140 people. High-quality WDR 2 concerts, comedy events and the annual Citizens' Prize ceremony of the city of Herten also take place here regularly. With theater seating, there is room for up to 220 guests. But if you are planning a stylish and unusual "castle party", you can invite up to 400 guests here.

Baroque Hall
Probably one of the most beautiful rooms in the entire castle - if not the most beautiful. The magnificent stucco ceiling with the great interior paintings, high-quality fabric wallpaper and an impressive marble fireplace give an idea of the splendor of times gone by. The Baroque Hall is the most popular room for a civil wedding and offers space for up to 90 guests. This room is also often used for seminars, receptions or other festivities. For our wedding parties, this room not only serves as a buffet area, but the cocktail bar, a candy bar, a children's table, the photo booth or other "specials" suitable for the respective wedding are also set up here.
