The Villa Au is characterized above all by its historical ambience. The “In der Au” in Velbert Langenberg, built in 1848 for the industrialist Johann Wilhelm Colsmann, was already threatened with demolition when the current building feature was saved by a loving restoration in 2003.
Today, Villa Au houses a restaurant that is more than just a simple dining establishment. With great attention to detail and individual furnishings, Villa Au ensures unforgettable impressions. The fusion of historic walls and stylishly selected furnishings provide the basis for a cozy atmosphere.
Villa Au is particularly impressive due to its spacious gardens. Especially in summer, Villa Au offers both sunny and shady spots on its summer terrace. But the gardens of Villa Au are much more than that: here you can stroll and take a walk, just as the owners of the house did back then. You can stroll around Villa Au across meadows and paths. Both an ancient fountain and the impressive orangery create a particularly stately ambience. The Villa Au park is particularly suitable as a photo backdrop.
The garden also offers a great opportunity for children to let off steam. Villa Au also has a children's playground for small children, so that even the little ones can enjoy their time in Villa Au.
