The wedding location at the Malakoff Tower in Bottrop:
The “Observatory”
The event locations include three areas
• Bar area with lounge
• High terrace with exclusive view of the Malakoff Tower
• Event hall with integrated stage
The areas can be used and arranged individually or in combination for your event. On an area of around 400 m² there is enough space for up to 350 people to experience an impressive event. The rooms blend harmoniously into the listed building of the Prosper-Haniel II washhouse and many original details and structures keep the industrial flair alive. From here, through the large interior window front, you have a unique view of our large hall with the distinctive chandelier and the large picture frame – the prelude to our main attraction.
Note: Our event location is barrier-free. An elevator takes you directly to the location. All areas including the sanitary facilities are on one level. There are also free parking spaces available directly in front of the main entrance.

Via the Gladbeck Essen junction, keep right towards Essen. Follow the B224 towards Essen for approx. 5 km and at the large intersection after the speed trap turn right onto Prosperstraße (towards Bottrop and “Kokerei”). After about 3 km, turn left before the railway bridge onto “Knappenstraße”. About 200 m later you will find the Grusellabyrinth NRW on the left. Via the A42 Easiest route: AS Autobahnkreuz Essen Nord Follow the B224 right towards Gladbeck. After approx. 700 m, turn left at the large intersection onto Prosperstraße (towards Bottrop and “Kokerei”). After about 3 km, turn left onto Knappenstraße before the railway bridge. About 200 m later you will find the Grusellabyrinth NRW on the left.
Alternative route via the A42 from Duisburg/Oberhausen: Take the A42 exit 12-Bottrop-Süd. Turn left onto Essener Str. and after approx. 300 m after the railway bridge turn right onto “Devensstraße”. At the next traffic light junction, turn right onto “Bahnhofsstraße” and then follow the turning priority roads over “Gohrweide” onto the street “An der Knippenburg”. Follow this road straight ahead at the next intersection until the end. Turn left here onto “Knappenstraße”. The Grusellabyrinth NRW is located after about 300 m on the right-hand side.
From Bottrop city centre Follow the signs to “B 224” and turn right after the railway bridge onto Knappenstraße. About 200 m later you will find the Grusellabyrinth NRW on the left.
