Gifts that should not be missing from the wedding table
What do you give to a couple who already has everything?
Guests are asking this question more and more often. Because in times when most couples have already celebrated their 30th birthday, have long since moved into their shared apartment - or even house - and no tenth set of cutlery is needed, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a suitable wedding gift.
But we recently came across a gift that, for our taste, is on far too few gift tables and that we would therefore like to particularly recommend to you: a Thermomix TM6 from Vorwerk .
This kitchen appliance, which we like to call an all-rounder at home, has been in our kitchen for a good three months and has been working non-stop since then. My wife discovered the Thermomix while researching healthier cooking after I, in particular, had gained a few kilos during the Corona pandemic. She was quickly blown away by the versatility of the appliance. Countless great recipe ideas with guaranteed success, which are constantly being expanded online, have opened up a wide range of new possibilities for us. In addition, the Thermomix cooks with foods that a normal household also has at home. Because in my opinion there is nothing more nerve-wracking than cooking with a cookbook by a cult English TV chef, where two out of three ingredients are not easy to get hold of here. And that is simply different with the Thermomix. Not to put it bluntly - it is so easy that even I am now cooking more again.
This means that with this gift you not only have a great new kitchen appliance with endless functions and a never-ending treasure trove of recipes, but the groom also has the opportunity to take his bride out to a romantic candlelight dinner at their home. From fresh tomato soup to a sous vide-cooked fillet steak to homemade ice cream. The Thermomix makes it possible. All the groom has to do is pick out a few great dishes on the recipe portal Cookidoo® directly on the display of the Thermomix TM6. Beautiful pictures make you want more and it's as easy to use as scrolling through an Instagram account. At the touch of a button he can send the shopping list to his mobile phone and then put the ingredients in the Thermomix with step-by-step instructions. The Thermomix weighs, measures, chops, stirs, cooks... everything by itself. And while the Thermomix conjures up a phenomenal meal, he can also quickly put a few rose petals and candles in the bedroom. With the Thermomix you gain a new kitchen appliance and a friend for life.
The Thermomix is of course a little more expensive than a hand blender or a few new pans. After all, it replaces many of these devices thanks to its versatility. And that's exactly why the Thermomix is perfect for a wedding gift table. If the grandparents or the friends from the regulars' table or the brass band mates chip in, then the few hundred euros can quickly be raised.
In short – my wife loves the Thermomix. And I love the meals that are served to me every day. Whether it's breakfast with waffles and a smoothie, a healthy lunch or a fresh spread for dinner. There are always new delicacies.
So my clear recommendation is: put a Thermomix on the wedding table. Friends who really like you - or who have a Thermomix themselves and therefore know exactly how happy it will make you - will give it to you. You won't regret it.
All love
Your Bernhard
PS: A little tip for all future husbands! If I've learned one thing in 15 years of marriage, it's that women don't want kitchen appliances as birthday presents, Christmas presents, and especially not as morning gifts. So please put the Thermomix on the gift table. Although my wife would probably have made an exception for the Thermomix 😊.
