  restaurant

Our restaurant is the heart of the Nansen and combines the special character of a historic port building with a modern, warm atmosphere. Industrial elements and plenty of room for individual design give the restaurant its distinctive character – urban, uncomplicated and festive at the same time.
For weddings, the restaurant offers the perfect setting for a celebration where the focus is on eating together and being together. Whether a festively set table, long tables for the entire party or an individually designed seating arrangement – the room can be flexibly adapted to different wedding concepts and numbers of guests.
The open, spacious layout creates a pleasant connection between eating, conversation and celebration. After the meal, the room can be used for the rest of the wedding without a major change in setting – for speeches, music, dancing and a long get-together into the evening.
What makes it special is its location: Nansen is situated directly in the port of Dortmund and combines the industrial charm of the port with a modern gastronomic concept. Speicherstraße and the area around the home port also offer numerous opportunities for special wedding photos – from urban harbor scenes to the historic brick facades and industrial elements.
The restaurant is particularly suitable for couples who want a wedding that is personal, modern and a little different – without sacrificing good food, a special atmosphere and a festive setting.

  horse stable

The horse stable is a special event space at Nansen and, with its charming, historical character, offers a unique setting for weddings and private celebrations. Here, the history of the former port area meets a modern, relaxed atmosphere.
With space for up to 40 people, the horse stable is ideal for smaller wedding parties who want to celebrate in an exclusive and personal setting. Whether a festive dinner, a civil wedding ceremony, a champagne reception or a lively celebration – the room can be individually designed and offers enough flexibility for different event formats.
At the same time, the horse stable can be used as an extension of the restaurant. This also creates additional space for dinner, receptions or individual program items for larger wedding parties. The restaurant and horse stable can be connected and used as a single, cohesive event space.
The space derives its special appeal from the combination of industrial port flair and historical charm. The original atmosphere of the building remains palpable, while individual decoration can give the room a very personal touch.
The horse stable is therefore particularly suitable for couples who are looking for a smaller, individual wedding away from classic banquet halls – or for larger groups who want more space and different areas for their celebration.
