On April 24, 1854, the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I married the 16-year-old Bavarian Duchess Elisabeth. The most precious and loving wedding gift to the young couple was the Imperial Villa, a gift from Archduchess Sophie, Franz Joseph's mother.
Special occasions are given the perfect setting in the Imperial Villa with its unique flair.
The villa's outbuildings include the stables north of the driveway, which at the time housed 50 horses. The stables, clad in red marble, also housed some of Sisi's favorite horses. From 2016, you can also rent the imperial stables for your unique event.

Leave the A1 motorway (Westautobahn) at the Regau exit. Follow the B145 federal road towards Bad Ischl. You will drive past Gmunden along the Traunsee and through the towns of Altmünster and Ebensee to Bad Ischl. The journey time from the motorway exit is around 50 minutes (40 km). Park in the "Kaiservilla" car park (alternatively "Rechensteg"); from there you can reach the Kaiservilla on foot in around 3 minutes.
Note for owners of navigation devices: The postal address is "Jainzen 38" in "4820 Bad Ischl".
