If you have a lot of children at your wedding, you should at least think about a small children's program for the benefit of everyone involved. Ideally, this will allow the children to keep themselves busy and the parents to celebrate undisturbed :)
Ideas for children's program at the wedding
- Check with the location whether there is childcare or a suitable room or playground - you can check this on our website for each location under the " Children " section
- Organize childcare yourself if the location does not offer this. It is important that you do not rely on nieces or nephews of the appropriate age - childcare can be a stressful task and you will be glad if you have someone in charge and do not have to keep asking your nieces or nephews during the wedding whether it is still OK, etc. After all, the nieces and nephews are your guests too and after an hour they might prefer to celebrate rather than spend the whole day looking after the littlest guests
- Craft corner: depending on the season, get some craft supplies from nature such as flowers, chestnuts, stones or leaves and make a pattern such as a chestnut man, which the child care worker can then recreate with the little ones
- Painting corner: colored pencils, paper and off you go
- Games: take some board games, Jenga, puzzles or memory - keep in mind that depending on the number of children at your wedding, these should be games that can be played with more than just 4 children
- Clown: if you want to dig a little deeper into your pockets, you can of course organize a clown as a children's entertainment
- If the children are a little older, they will certainly be happy to receive an instant camera with which they can take photos of the wedding guests - the little ones can then take the photos home as a souvenir
