Just outside of Schoppernau, in the middle of an idyllic forest clearing with a wonderful view of the Künzelspitze and the Alpine pastures of Hopfreben below, lies the historic Villa Maund. The former hunting residence was built by the English banker and mountaineer Sir John Oakley Maund in 1890. He used the English-style villa as a retreat for his hunting trips. The villa became a meeting place for hunting enthusiasts from all over the world and names such as Alexander Kennedy, James Fairholm, B. Montgommery and the German Crown Prince Wilhelm von Hohenzollern regularly met in Schoppernau to hunt and celebrate.
Surrounded by meadows and forests, you have Villa Maund all to yourself and can celebrate undisturbed with your family and friends.
From May to October we plan and organize your very special day for you in this unique location. The villa is ideal for up to 85 people and offers enough space in 3 different rooms for an unforgettable experience.
With us, you can design your dream wedding according to your wishes and budget - and we will take care of the rest.
