Description of the gastronomy:
We leave the kitchen in the village and are constantly developing our cuisine, which has been organically certified since 2004. We offer lactose- and gluten-free dishes for allergy sufferers and vegans will also find a fine selection here.
Organic food from our region has absolute priority. Meat is something very special and not a mass product. Therefore, in our kitchen only regional organic animals kept in the open air are processed in their entirety and with respect. Since 2014 we have been involved in the Labonca organic farm with its attached pasture slaughterhouse. Organic sun pigs, organic cattle and organic geese are raised on the farm's own pasture for the Retter Organic Hotel Restaurant. Our organic lambs are also slaughtered there. They live more than twice as long as conventional animals and always graze in familiar surroundings at the pasture slaughterhouse. Enjoy happiness on the plate and at the buffets. Our ham and sausage specialties and spreads will delight you. Since 1992, the entire farm around the hotel has been certified organic.
Drink refreshing drinks from local orchards such as apples and deer pears, as well as Retter organic beer and fine organic wines from the Vulkanland wine-growing region. Our restaurant has been awarded the Green Hat for healthy, wholesome and regional cuisine for more than 30 years and was named "Beer Innkeeper of the Year", "Gourmet Innkeeper of the Year 2015/16" and also received 2 Falstaff forks. For à la carte reservations, the restaurants Muskat and Lorbeer as well as our seating garden in front of the house are available. The panoramic terrace is reserved exclusively for hotel guests.
Hotel guests can enjoy delicacies from the all-time enjoyment package all day long, with hearty dishes made from local, organically certified food and herbs from our own garden and the Pöllauberg.
