From Munich
Option 1 without Austrian motorway vignette: On the German motorway A9 from Munich towards Salzburg to the Inzell exit, then via Lofer and Saalfelden to Maria Alm. The Mountain Resort - the HOCHKÖNIGIN is located 50 m after entering Maria Alm on the left-hand side.
Option 2 also without an Austrian motorway vignette: On the German motorway A9, drive from Munich towards Salzburg until you reach the Inntal motorway junction. Now continue towards Kufstein, take the Oberaudorf exit, then via Walchsee and Kössen to St. Johann in Tirol. From there, continue via Lofer and Saalfelden to Maria Alm. The Magic Mountain Resort – the HOCHKÖNIGIN is located 50 m after entering Maria Alm on the left-hand side.
Please note that tolls are mandatory on Austrian motorways (from Kufstein). You can obtain the required vignette at border crossings and in tobacconists as well as online at www.asfinag.at/maut-vignette/vignette/.
From Vienna
On the A1 motorway from Vienna via Linz to Salzburg. Change to the A10 towards Bischofshofen. Exit Bischofshofen, continue towards St. Johann and Zell am See. Continue to Saalfelden, turn left in the town towards Maria Alm. Alternatively, you can take the Bischofshofen exit via Mühlbach am Hochkönig and the Dientner Sattel towards Dienten. We continue over the Filzensattel to Hinterthal and Maria Alm.
From Graz
Take the A9 motorway to exit 69/Selzthal. Continue on the B320 Ennstal federal road towards Schladming/Liezen/Radstadt. At the roundabout, take the third exit B320/Gesäusestraße towards Salzburg/Schladming. Continue on the B99/E651 Katschberg federal road. Take the A10 motorway via the Salzburg/Eben exit. Continue on the A10 to the Pongau junction exit, then take the B311 Pinzgauer Bundesstraße towards St. Johann im Pongau/Zell am See. Exit towards B159/B164 Hochkönig federal road, continue to Maria Alm.
Alternatively, you can take the Bischofshofen exit via Mühlbach am Hochkönig and the Dientner Sattel towards Dienten. We continue over the Filzensattel to Hinterthal and Maria Alm.
Arriving by train
The nearest train station is Saalfelden, for ICE and express trains Zell am See. Continue to Maria Alm by bus or taxi.
