Description wedding venue
In the heart of the Salzburg mountains lies a place that creates space for special moments: the Löckenwaldhütte in Filzmoos. From summer 2026, it will open its doors as a wedding location for couples who want to say “I do” in the middle of nature – romantic, stylish and very personal.
We – Lena and Sophie, two sisters from Filzmoos – have put a lot of heart and soul into turning our alpine pasture into a special place for civil and non-denominational weddings. Thanks to our collaboration with the local registry office, official weddings are possible right at the lodge – a real highlight for anyone who wants to combine nature with celebration.
Our location is suitable for small to medium-sized celebrations, nestled among meadows, forests and mountains. Whether it's a free wedding ceremony under the open sky or a cozy agape with a view of the Dachstein massif - every wedding at the Löckenwaldhütte is unique.
You can rent the hut exclusively as a location or complement your day with selected highlights. We don't offer a complete package, but rather a flexible framework in which you can realize your own ideas. If you wish, we can support you with tips and recommendations – and we are also happy to work with professional wedding planners.
The bride and groom can stay overnight directly in the hut, and guests will find numerous charming accommodations in Filzmoos. This means the wedding can be perfectly combined with a holiday in the mountains – a special experience for everyone involved.
Getting married in Filzmoos – at the Löckenwaldhütte it becomes more than just a celebration. It will be a moment that lasts.

At the Löckenwaldhütte, you can celebrate undisturbed until 7:00 p.m. Afterward, we ask for a quiet end, as the hut is located in a hunting and alpine pasture area, where silence is required out of respect for animals, nature, and other alpine pasture farmers.

The Löckenwaldhütte is accessible by car via the alpine path. To do so, first follow the toll road towards Hofalm/Oberhofalm. Shortly before the Oberhofalm, the path branches off to the right to the Sulzenalmen – a sprawling alpine pasture area where our Löckenwaldhütte is located, idyllically situated above Filzmoos.
