The wedding should be an unforgettable day - but the budget should not be completely ignored. The costs add up and to avoid unpleasant surprises, here are a few tips from our experience:
Drink costs: agree with the venue on tap water instead of still mineral water - tastes just as good and is (usually) free.
Corkage fee: Is there a corkage fee for drinks brought along by guests, such as liquor?
Plate charge: Do you have to pay a plate charge if you bring your own wedding cake or desserts?
Personnel costs: From when do you have to pay extra for service staff (often a surcharge per employee and hour is charged from midnight or 1 a.m.)
