Elgg Castle, on whose property the Zehntenhaus stands, first appears in the history books in 1166 AD and is one of the most original castles in Europe. The Zehntenhaus was gently renovated at the beginning of 2020 and opened to the public as a premium event location with a stylish ballroom and the unique vaulted cellar. The vaulted cellar with its original clay brick floor can comfortably accommodate 50 guests. The perfectly symmetrical round arches with a ceiling height of over 3.50 m give the room charm and class.

Where a moat once protected the castle, there is now a staircase covered in chestnut trees. In summer, this "natural terrace" is perfect for dining outdoors - impressive against the backdrop of the castle! - 140 m2 of usable space.
