In 2013, Suhl was awarded the title of “State-recognized health resort”. The Rennsteig, one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Germany, passes in the immediate vicinity.

The Grand Hotel Suhl is located in the immediate vicinity of Suhl train station (approx. 50 m), and the city center is only a 5-minute walk away (approx. 500 m).
Our reception is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.; outside these hours there is a night watchman on site. If you arrive outside of these times, please inform us by 8 p.m. on the day of arrival at the latest by calling 03681 452 150 or by email to reservation@grandhotelsuhl.de.
Arriving by car or bus
Suhl is conveniently located near the Suhl motorway junction and is easily accessible by car or bus from three directions via the A71 and A73.
parking spot
The hotel has its own free parking lot. The entrance is on Puschkinstraße and is signposted (see directions to the car park). If you arrive by car, you are welcome to park briefly in front of the main entrance on Bahnhofstrasse so that you can unload your luggage in peace. Our car park has sufficient spaces and access is controlled by a barrier system.

Arriving by train
You can easily reach Suhl via the ICE train stations in Erfurt or Würzburg and then continue with the regional train to Suhl station. Our hotel is opposite the train station, you can see it from the railway track.

The nearest airport in Erfurt is 70 km away, Nuremberg Airport 150 km, Leipzig Airport 204 km and Frankfurt Airport 206 km. On request, we can organize transfers from these airports to the hotel and back (for a fee).
