No cow could have lived more magnificently.
The former cowshed, which forms the key to a fluid transition between the English landscape park, the castle and the estate, was built with such detail and complexity with its ornaments, round arches and stucco-decorated cast columns, as if the conversion had already been anticipated when the foundation stone was laid 200 years ago.
The building consists of a smaller and a larger hall. Both halls are adjacent to a gallery in the middle.
There is a disabled-accessible toilet on the ground floor. 8 more are located on the upper floor.
From the gallery, a cloakroom leads to the terrace and the adjoining garden.
In front of the cowshed is the 2,200 sqm outdoor area. The majority of it is a lawn.
It forms the transition over the waterfall to the publicly accessible pleasure ground and castle and further into the park.
Seggerde is located between Braunschweig, Wolfsburg and Magdeburg, right on the border with Lower Saxony.
