Weddings, events, conferences and family celebrations in Brühl Castle Seifersdorf near Dresden
Seifersdorf Castle is beautifully situated in the middle of a castle park dating from 1885, which is maintained by the owner, and not far from the Seifersdorf Valley, one of the oldest landscape parks in Germany. Karl Friedrich Schinkel was friends with the Brühl family and supported the last major renovation of the palace 200 years ago. At that time, the former Renaissance castle became one of the first neo-Gothic castles in Saxony and is very popular with guests from near and far.
From 1747, the castle belonged to Heinrich Graf von Brühl, the Elector of Saxony and Royal Polish Prime Minister, and his descendants until it was expropriated in 1945. Tina von Brühl developed the Seifersdorfer Tal landscape garden with its many monuments. Her husband Hans Moritz von Brühl (son of the Prime Minister) was responsible for the construction of the highways in Prussia from 1790 onwards. Their son Carl became director of the royal theaters in Berlin in 1815 and was largely responsible for the premiere of “Freischütz” by Carl Maria von Weber in 1821. During this time in Seifersdorf he completed the design of the Seifersdorf Valley. The Brühls' circle of friends included Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Gottfried Herder, Wieland, Friedrich Schiller, Theodor and Gottfried Körner, Duchess Anna Amalia of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach and her son, Elisa von der Recke, Carl Maria von Weber, Gottfried Schadow... The painters Anton Graff, Friedrich Adams, Darbes, Caspar David Friedrich. The list of names could be continued indefinitely. The small town on the outskirts of Dresden looks back on a historical history that is unparalleled.
Only 15 kilometers from the state capital (A4 exit Ottendorf-Okrilla towards Radeberg) you reach the small town of Seifersdorf and the castle, which belongs to the municipality of Wachau.
You are welcome to plan your wedding, event, family celebration or conference at Seifersdorf Castle. You are completely free to choose a caterer. We are happy to provide information about caterers in the local area.
The large hall, which the owner had restored to a high standard based on historical models, can be rented. Up to 99 people can celebrate there.
You can also rent the small hall for events and meetings for up to 25 people. Both rooms are wheelchair accessible.
Seating and tables are available for celebrations and events for up to 99 people.
A kitchen, a bar belonging to the hall and the sanitary facilities can also be used. There is also a disabled toilet on the ground floor. Operating costs are included in the rental prices. Crockery and tablecloths are available and are charged extra.
There are accommodation options in various holiday apartments on site, but also in small hotels in Radeberg or Ottendorf-Okrilla, each three kilometers away. Due to its proximity to the motorway, Dresden is also very easy to reach in just a few minutes. We will be happy to help you find accommodation.
