The Altes Wallberghaus mountain hotel is located at an altitude of 1,512 meters on the Wallberg mountain above Rottach-Egern on Lake Tegernsee. To reach the hotel, drive from Rottach-Egern towards Wallbergstraße until you reach the hiking parking lot or the valley station of the Wallberg cable car.
From there, depending on the weather, the Altes Wallberghaus can be reached on foot via Wallbergstraße or hiking trails, with the ascent taking approximately 1.25 to 2 hours.
Alternatively, you can take the Wallberg cable car (daily from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., summer until 5:00 p.m.) to the mountain station; from there, the walk to the hotel takes about 25 minutes.
Direct access to the hotel by car is not possible.
We are happy to assist you with your luggage upon request. We charge a flat fee of €250.00 per trip in summer and €450.00 in winter for luggage transport.
