The Alte Zeche in Barsinghausen presents itself as an extraordinary wedding location in a historic mining setting. Located on the grounds of the Klosterstollen visitor mine, it combines industrial charm with the special atmosphere of a former coal mine. The colliery hall and other areas of the old colliery are usually used for celebrations with smaller to larger groups; The surroundings, with its tunnels, exhibition and rich history, offer an unusual setting for a wedding away from classic banquet halls.
Couples can celebrate their weddings here in an environment strongly influenced by the mining past, thus providing a unique backdrop. The Alte Zeche is run by a non-profit operating company, which gives the place an authentic, down-to-earth character. The combination of historical industrial flair and the scenic location on the Deister makes the venue particularly suitable for couples who are looking for a historic and regionally rooted place for their wedding celebration and want to introduce their wedding guests to a genuine piece of Barsinghausen tradition.
