Description wedding venue
Our extraordinary and unique location in the Bergisches Land is an almost 100-year-old machine hall in the heart of Solingen.
The rustic interior underlines the industrial charm and testifies to the early phase of the industrial revolution at the end of the 18th century.
The solid brick building is supplied with sufficient daylight thanks to the numerous tall rectangular windows and a ceiling height of up to 11 m. The building is accessed through two double doors, one leading into the former boiler hall, the other into the machine hall. The latter houses a tandem compound steam engine and an impressive flywheel. Today the machine is a real eye-catcher in the location.
In addition to many other preserved historical elements, the control panel with the wall painting above it is worth mentioning. There is also a movable crane in the machine hall that can also be used. The floor is covered with largely preserved tiles in a checkerboard pattern.
After extensive renovation in 2019/20, this historic building was rebuilt. The aim was to preserve this architectural monument and prepare it for modern, contemporary use. The historical elements have been lovingly renovated and showcased using the latest technology. Thanks to our lighting technology, the halls can be illuminated with different colored light and can achieve a different optical effect as desired.
The spacious outdoor area can also be used.
There are numerous parking spaces on site (up to 150 cars) and there is a ground-level option for transporting equipment into the building.
The halls can be heated or air-conditioned as desired. Wi-Fi and high-voltage power connections are available.
There are permanently installed counter systems in each of the halls. There are enough toilets available at the location. When one hall is in use, the other hall can be used as storage and alternative space, as well as for catering, etc. If additional retreats are required, this is also possible by arrangement. Chairs, tables and bar tables are available as required.
The building can be reached quickly from neighboring cities (Wuppertal 17 km, Leverkusen 19 km, Düsseldorf 30 km, Cologne 35 km). In addition, there is very good access to public transport.
Our two halls are therefore the ideal locations for historical and industrial filming, private celebrations, weddings and much more!

Old machine hall
The Old Machine Hall - is our namesake, because here you will find the heart of our historic hall, the almost 100-year-old steam engine. It provides that certain something and will make your event something very special. In this hall you will find beautiful historical details on every corner, such as old displays, a control center, great wall paintings, beautiful large windows that give you a great sunset, and as an absolute highlight an old crane that can be moved across the entire area of the room. In addition, our Old Machine Hall has separate toilet facilities and its own outdoor area. This hall is uniquely beautiful. You and your guests will remember it as a historic, warm event location with an unmistakable charm.

Our boiler hall is a beautiful, spaciously designed room that makes every event unique. It offers enough space to keep distances and prevents your event from feeling cramped. But don't let this openness put you off, because the space offers numerous options that are not only suitable for large groups! This means that a wedding, a private celebration or your company anniversary will also appear cozy and inviting, not cold and impersonal. The Old Boiler Hall naturally has its own access to the outside area and separate toilet facilities. Feel free to contact us and we will design your event individually according to your wishes!
