General directions:
The Maierl-Alm is located at 1225 m on a high plateau directly in the Kitzbühel/Kirchberg ski area and can be reached by car all year round. The road to the Maierl-Alm, the “Krinbergweg” and the extension “Krinberg” is an asphalted mountain road.
You can also leave your vehicle in the P1 car park at the turnoff to the cable car or in the underground car park of the municipality of Kirchberg in Tirol (costs of the municipality's underground car park are approximately € 22.00 per week). We will be happy to pick you up from there. This shuttle service is free of charge for our guests on arrival and departure. To avoid waiting times, we ask you, if possible, to register in advance via our reception by calling 0043 5357 2109-0.
NEW since December 2013:
While it was previously possible to use the stretch of motorway from the border to Kufstein South without a vignette, the vignette has been mandatory here as well since December 2013. This is also checked using electrical imaging cameras, among other things. If you drive on the motorway without a vignette, you will be penalized approximately 4-6 weeks later or directly on the spot with an expensive fine (so-called substitute toll amounting to € 120.00).
Directions with navigation device:
When entering it into your navigation device, please make sure that there is both the street "Krinbergweg" (lower part of the Bergstraße) and the "Krinberg" (upper part of the street).
The Maierl-Alm has the address "Krinberg 14, A-6365 Kirchberg in Tirol".
Directions from Munich:
From the A8 motorway towards Salzburg, at the Inntal triangle (after the Irschenberg), continue on the A93 (A12) to Wörgl Ost.
From Wörgl Ost, drive towards Brixental on the B170 Felbertauern. Follow the signposts towards Kirchberg (do not follow the direction of Kitzbühel) and drive via Hopfgarten, Westendorf and Brixen to Kirchberg (approx. 20 km).
In Kirchberg, at the roundabout, continue towards Aschau. Please do not follow the turnoff to the left towards the Maierl gondola. There you can only get to the ski slope, not to the Maierl-Alm. You continue towards Aschau and leave the village of Kirchberg. Exactly 1 kilometer after the end of the town, turn left following the sign “P1”. After about 200 meters you will reach the valley station of the Pengelstein cable car. To the left of the valley station begins the mountain road to the Maierl-Alm & Chalets. From here it is about 3.8 kilometers. Follow the signs for “Maierl”. You can park in our own underground car park (entrance height 2.05m) or in the outdoor car park.
Check-in to the chalets and rooms on the day of arrival:
Your chalet, apartment or room can usually be occupied from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival. You are welcome to park your car with us in the morning and spend the day in the hiking area, on the golf course or on our sun terrace or in our wellness area (swimming pool, sauna, steam bath, etc.). Our reception will issue you with the appropriate access cards. On the day of departure, we ask that you vacate the chalets by 10:00 a.m. and the rooms by 11:00 a.m. at the latest.
